Working together for patient and public involvement in healthcare improvement and research
Why is it Important?
Use of data enables the public to understand the deployment of resources and quality of care provided by the NHS and social care.
What do we hope to achieve?
Empower health and care systems through rigorous and reproducible real-time analytics, capable of driving improvement and evaluation.
How will we achieve this?
The theme provides research expertise in measurement methods, public health informatics, and advanced statistics.
Using 'Whole Systems Integrated Care' (WSIC) database, a large integrated health care dataset of 2.4 million patients in Northwest London (NWL), we will explore the potential of linked health and social care data to support policy analysis and to guide planning and commissioning of services.
We will empower local communities to improve health and care of the population through data and measurement.
