BAME Focussed COVID-19 Research Hub and COVID-19 Research Funding Calls
People from Black ethnic groups were most likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19 and death rates from COVID-19 were highest among people of Black and Asian ethnic groups. However BAME communities are less likely to take a COVID-19 vaccination.
The following information has been put together to tackle concerns and highlight the truth behind being vaccinated for COVID-19.
Black, Asian and ethnic minorities make up a large proportion of the population in Northwest London. Ongoing COVID-19 investigations show that Black, Asian and ethnic minorities appear to be disproportionately affected by COVID-19 in the UK.
The following research focuses on priority areas to help tackle this disproportion.
