As UK health care organisations continue to deal with the impact of the coronavirus, research groups also have a responsibility to do what they can. NIHR ARC Northwest London is no different.  As our work develops, you will find here information about what we are doing.

People from Black ethnic groups were most likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19 and death rates from COVID-19 were highest among people of Black and Asian ethnic groups. However BAME communities are less likely to take a COVID-19 vaccination. 

The following information has been put together to tackle concerns and highlight the truth behind being vaccinated for COVID-19.

Black, Asian and ethnic minorities make up a large proportion of the population in Northwest London. Ongoing COVID-19 investigations show that Black, Asian and ethnic minorities appear to be disproportionately affected by COVID-19 in the UK.
