Mental health conditions experienced in childhood and adolescence can have life-long impacts. Currently, young people in mental health crisis often experience delays in assessment of their needs, onward referrals and appropriate treatment and care.
Our current focus is on progressing an evaluation plan to support the development and implementation of a new service aimed at supporting young people in mental health crisis across West London through the delivery of a range of novel interventions and care pathways addressing both mental and physical health issues. The setting for this innovative service will be Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and the service co-delivered with the mental health provider Trusts, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and West London NHS Foundation Trust. A steering group of key stakeholders is convened by the CW+ charity.
