Community Engagement Covid-19
We created and disseminated a survey to map what voluntary or community organisations, groups or networks are doing to respond to the needs of people and residents in North West London. This survey was released on 3rd April 2020 and is being disseminated in waves to organisations and individuals across North West London.
We have produced the following visuals to depict the activities that are going on in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. These aim to help people understand what is going on, and assess potential gap areas. If you think we could present the data in other ways or present specific information which would be more useful, do let us know (contact details below).
We realise there are more activities going on that are depicted on the maps and therefore are encouraging people to share the survey or tell us in any other manner (e.g. via e mail or ask us to phone you) what you are doing. The survey takes up to 10 minutes and can be found here: https://imperial.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_26oNR5tfOucfIYB
This work will inform a longer term project to explore the value and impact (economic or otherwise) of such efforts for existing statutory or healthcare systems and organisations.
If you have any questions or comments, please get in touch with Meerat Kaur m.kaur@imperial.ac.uk.
The visualisation below is available on two tabs: as a Map or a series of Bar Charts.
The map is of North West London showing the number of groups working in each borough from our survey respondents.
The bar charts show, by borough, the number of community organisations, groups or networks working to:
support specific people (People Supported),
which activities they are undertaking (Activities),
and which methods of communication they are using (Communication).
By hovering over each bar you can see the borough, category name, and number of groups in that category.
Data correct as of 3rd June 2020 - 32 respondents visualised
You can change between the two visualisations with the tabs in the top left of the box as shown below.
