Purvi Patel

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Coordinator and Baby Friendly Initiative Coordinator

Purvi has worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for the last 8 years, with an extensive range of clinical experience in surgical, cardiac and community settings. Recently she has started a new role as a Baby Friendly Initiative Coordinator, which involves running a project led by UNICEF. The Baby Friendly Initiative works towards an accreditation, which ultimately aims to improve the lives and outcomes for babies and their families. It does this through workforce education and a workforce culture change.

Her Fellowship project aligns to the NIHR ARC NWL strategic aims of improving child health, by creating a firm foundation to build on for the future.
