Melanie Arultheesan-Mayuran
Senior Pharmacovigilance officer, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research and Development, Royal Marsden NHS Trust
The emphasis of my role is to ensure the central coordination of pharmacovigilance activity, maintaining systems for identifying, recording, and reporting safety data in clinical trials in compliance with the UK Clinical Trial Regulations and the EU/GCP Directives.
I have been working within GCP for 4 years and prior to that I worked in Pharmacy.
I am interested in quality improvement and improving quality standards within research, by creating various types of training.
I am working alongside Rebecca burns who is a Senior GCP Quality Assurance officer. Our aim is to create a training programme which provides all the tools that a first Chief Investigator would require, when running a trial for the first time.
I am really excited to be part of this fellowship and gain the skills to execute our project.
