Francesca Siracusa

Clinical Research Fellow

Francesca Siracusa is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Section of Vascular Surgery within the Department of Surgery & Cancer. She most recently completed an Academic Foundation Programme in the Yorkshire & Humber Deanery. 


Alongside her clinical training, Francesca also obtained a PGCert in Health Research & Statistics from the University of York. During her Foundation Training, she worked in the University of Hull’s Academic Vascular Surgery Unit, where she researched psychometric properties of quality-of-life measurement instruments in patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Previously, she earned her MBBS from Imperial College London in 2021 and an intercalated BSc in Management from Imperial College Business School (2018-19).  


Her Improvement Leader Fellowship project aims to understand the barriers and facilitators to implementing evidence from the most recent venous thromboembolism (VTE) prevention trials into clinical practice.
