As a registered nurse with specialist leadership skills, he is dedicated to promoting evidence-based practices within the adult social care sector. His passion for healthcare improvement and leadership drives his commitment to advancing person-centred care within the industry.

Currently, Basu is working on a project within the Improvement Leader Fellowship that aims to enhance the quality of care for individuals in their own homes by delivering person-centred care tailored to individual needs and risk assessments. This service improvement fellowship project aims to employ an action research method, ensuring that healthcare support workers gain a comprehensive understanding of person-centred care. This approach will maximise autonomy, enabling individuals to exercise their choices and rights by maintaining full control over their own care.
