New national ARC webinar series launches exploring mental health and our modern world

During Mental Health Awareness Week 2023, the 15 NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) launched our first Mental Health webinar series on 'Mental health in our modern world' exploring research from across the ARCs.

More than 100 people, including members of the public, services users, researchers, and health and social care professionals, joined a new national ARC webinar on 17 May exploring mental health and our modern world. The webinar series looked at mental health in the context of some of the most topical themes of our times.

The series focuses on topics relating to: Mental health and world crises, Mental health and social inclusion  and Young people's mental health. 

Ethnicity and Health Unit Co-Director Professor Mala Rao, presented on the impact of the climate crisis on mental health and the intersection between climate, race and health.
