Job Description

The role will be ideal for PhD candidates, to assist on a programme with Eleven Health. We are currently looking for the right candidate to work on a wide range of projects day-to-day, delivering deep-level data insights and visualisations. This role will allow you to learn at a very fast pace, and you will be exposed to all aspects of our business.

The Life Science and Healthcare Analyst will provide technical and scientific support for the development and execution of realworld data-driven clinical research and study protocols, based upon the exam question provided by our life sciences partners.

These are typically based around evidence generation from real-world retrospective, and occasionally prospective, data from medical databases and publicly available sources, in order to better understand patient outcomes, treatment impacts, safety and efficacy.

Primary Responsibilities

The role will gather, link and analyse large amounts of information expeditiously. They will apply IT tools and solutions to create advanced data insight reports to solve questions and client requirements in a creative way.

The role will apply an investigative mindset to collate, synthesise, and analyse data from multiple sources, critically developing and driving insight from data.

Assists with writing other project-related documents.

Conducts literature reviews and drafts scientific and technical documents.

Ensure that protocols contain quality research design, and meet standards for ethics and compliance.

The role will translate data insights into in-depth, detailed and engaging visualisations to drive both existing and prospective partner engagement, both within the healthcare and life science space.

Attends meetings to facilitate protocol development.

The role will integrate a strong knowledge base of both existing and current healthcare and life science developments into data insights, establishing a narrative of the key findings and implications, as well as leveraging powerful writing skills to deliver engaging articles.

Participates with research and statistical data coordinators, database developers and database administrators in study database development and data monitoring planning.

Participates in troubleshooting.

Collaborates with other members of the team and any other participating groups to ensure streamlined compliance.

Assists with grant writing and other projects as needed.

Important Qualities

We have had years of experience in hiring senior, middle grade, and junior health and human sciences talent and have found a few things to be important.

Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Exposure to working with large real-world healthcare databases.

Excellent communication skills.

Prior experience working in a consultancy, CRO, or research is preferred, but recent graduates may apply.

Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or abstracts in scientific conferences are preferred.

Requirements

A PhD from an accredited college/university in Biomedical, Translational Health, Medical, Biological Sciences or related fields.

Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.

Ability to extract, collate and link datasets for deep-level analysis.

Experience in translating analytical findings into complex figures, data presentations and engaging visualisations is essential.

Strong writing skills to deliver the accompanying narrative around data insights and develop powerful thought leadership pieces.

Experience with successful grant application writing is especially favourable.

Must have the legal right to work in the UK
