Applications open for NIHR ARC NWL Improvement Leader Fellowship 2022

We are pleased to announce the launch of the NIHR ARC NWL Improvement Leader Fellowship 2022.

The aim of the Fellowship programme is to develop a range of future leaders in innovation and improvement with the authority and ability to advance change in their organisations and beyond, thus building capacity and supporting spread and sustainability in line with the NIHR ARC NWL vision and objectives.

There are approx. 12 places available for new Fellows. Fellows can apply individually, or organisations may choose to nominate individuals, duos or trios to work together on organisationally driven priorities. We especially encourage applications for improvement projects that seek to sustain or implement changes that were introduced around the COVID-19 pandemic.

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

The Fellowship is a 12-month bespoke programme of seminars and workshops with an induction and monthly day-long learning and networking meetings. Learning sessions will cover:

  • Quality improvement

  • Communication skills

  • Team building

  • Community engagement

You are expected to work on your quality/service improvement project with direct relevance to patients and population health benefit.

You should consider how your potential project will align with your organisation/context priorities.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Fellowship is open to NHS and partner organisation staff and others with a role in health and healthcare.

We also warmly welcome Fellows who are patients, carers, or members of the public passionate about changing healthcare.

Previous Fellows have been drawn from clinical (GP, surgeons, nurses, AHPs), managerial and research backgrounds working in the acute, community, social or primary care sectors across Northwest London.

TIMELINE

We plan to hold interviews (probably online via video call) on 3 May 2022 and 5 May 2022 and hold an induction on 14 June 2022 [with the caveat that we will need to adhere to government guidelines on lockdown or in person meetings].
