Vaishali Ferizoli

General Practioner, Stanley Corner Medical Centre

Dr. Vaishali Ferizoli is a final year GP trainee, working in Wembley. She has a diverse skill set, with a comprehensive training background in North-West London (NWL). Her keen interest in child public health led her to complete the Programme for Integrated Child Health in 2021, focusing on improving local infant mortality rates.

Her current project within the Fellowship aims to enhance the quality of care for children in NWL. Along with her team, she has developed concise, one-page guideline algorithms for the top 10 paediatric conditions in general practice, based on NICE guidelines. These guidelines, along with parent and clinic resources, are published on the NWL ICS website. The project’s next phase involves integrating the guidelines with GP computer systems, improving evidence-based decision making, and reducing unnecessary referrals and delays in the patient’s journey. Dr Ferizoli will also raise awareness of the resource by organising teaching sessions for local GPs, thus increasing their confidence in managing children and ensuring standardised care across NWL.

Through her commitment to evidence-based practice, improving child health outcomes, and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals, Dr Ferizoli hopes to make a significant impact to the quality of care that children receive in NWL.
