Silvia Manuel Da Silva Moreira

Senior research Nurse, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

Sílvia is a senior research Nurse at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, who has been practicing cardiovascular nursing within acute and community settings. She developed a strong interest in research while undertaking a Master’s degree on Health Education at the University of Minho, Portugal. This involved the development and implementation of an innovative nurse led program on cardiac rehabilitation, which promoted patients’ self-care as well as best practices within integrated care.

Upon moving to the United Kingdom to pursue a research career, Silva was able to improve and share international cardiovascular nursing expertise and knowledge. Most recently, she took on the role of Digital Health Nurse contributing to the improvement of the Care Information Exchange via the Trust's electronic patient record system, in partnership with the local Digital Nurses team, following the core commitment of consistently enhancing the patients’ care and experience.

Looking beyond, building capacity and supporting spread and sustainability of the care information exchange across Northwest London.
